So it is done: wand-wielding wunderkind Emma Watson is among the newest Brunonians gracing College Hill this fall. Like her fellow classmates, she has the very rare opportunity to attend one of the proudest, most selective, most eccentric academic institutions this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Lab technician Raymond Clark III was arrested and charged with the murder of Yale grad student Annie Le early this morning, according to the Yale Daily News. New Haven Police Department Chief James Lewis announced in a press conference that a warrant had been issued for Clark’s arrest at around 8 a.m. today, according to the News. The New York Times is reporting that DNA evidence and scratches on Clark’s body linked Clark to Le’s killing.

Le went missing on Sept. 8 and her remains were found on Sunday, Sept. 12 behind a wall in the basement of the Yale lab building where she worked. On Tuesday, Clark — who worked in same lab as Le — was declared a “person of interest” and taken into custody briefly as police took DNA and hair samples.
Clark is being held on $3 million bond and is expected to appear in court next on October 6.
