An e-mail sent by the Department of Public Safety informing students of two incidents near campus proves why 1) why you should always be careful in Providence at night, and 2) why you should always proofread closely:
On Saturday, April 24th, at approximately 12:36 a.m. on Carrington Street, two brown students were jumped by a subject who was looking for their money. They did not have any. The suspect subsequently ran from the area after the students started yelling. The students did not sustain any injuries.
Yes, “two brown students” were robbed. Way to turn the name of a school into an awkward faux pas.
