Pimp My Munchies: Tabasco Chipotle Pepper Sauce

As I’ve acquainted myself with the culinary life at Brown University, several truths have become apparent, which I will now communicate with a series of simple similes:

1. Getting through the Ratty and V-Dub at mealtime is like navigating Heathrow during the holiday season.
2. Waiting on line at Blue Room is like waiting in the deli line at Zabar’s.
3. A Spicy Chicken With is like the first time I watched Clerks (in other words, revelatory).
4. Unsweetened Nestea is to diet beverages what Kristen Wiig is to SNL; surrounded by lots of other bland, uninteresting peers it establishes itself as totally awesome.

But one truth stands out among all others: Dorm room munchies, no matter how tasty, are always in need of more flair, Chotchkie’s status.

Tabasco’s Chipotle Pepper Sauce is incredibly potent, sophisticatedly smoky and at only four bucks a bottle (they tend to last more than a month) it’s a steal once you realize what it can do for your food.

When you feel like rewarding yourself after an evening in the library, shake a few drops into your Easy Mac for chipotle mac n’ cheese that has a flavor profile on par with several expensive bar snacks. This sauce is perfect if you feel like forgetting that your Cup O’ Noodles is actually just a cup of noodles and goes well in just about everything else.
