Today is Love Your Body Day!

Brown’s celebration of Love Your Body Day is organized by Students for Choice. The Facebook page for the day’s events details how you can help celebrate Love Your Body Day at Brown and explains the purpose of celebrating this day:

“On October 20th, Students for Choice will be celebrating Love Your Body Day– a national festival to promote healthy body image, body lovin’ and sexual health.

We’ll be on the main green from 10am-2pm, along with SHEEC, Queer Alliance, Health Services, Rhode Island National Organization for Women, SHAG (Sexual Health Awareness Group), and more!

Activities include—

LOVE YOUR BODY DAY YOGA at 2 pm, with Reed Mcnab, in the Kasper Multipurpose room in Faunce

DEFEND YOUR BODY self defense at 1 with Chelsea Feuchs (on the Main Green)

And don’t miss young feminist activist and writer SHELBY KNOX talk about her experience fighting for comprehensive sex ed, and her life as an advocate for women’s rights and youth empowerment. Lecture at 7:30 in MacMillan 117.

PLUS, the traditional Penis and Breast cookies bake sale, Love Your Body Day T-Shirts, and more.”
