See Harvard Associate Professor of Education Mark Warren give a talk entitled “Fire in the Heart: How White Activists Embrace Racial Justice.” Free pizza and soda here, too.

Parlez-vous français?
Machado (Antonio) House
5-6 pm

French conversation hour + free refreshments = a winning combination.

Reaching Out to Disadvantaged Youth: What Works and What Doesn’t
Biomed Center, Room 202
5:30-7:30 pm

Watch Mike Wasserman, Director of Development for Bottom Line, give a talk on starting and running non-profit organizations (which presumably seek to help disadvantaged youth). If you’re willing to make the trek to the BioMed Center, you will be awarded not only with the feeling that you’re doing something to help the world, but also with free Kabob and Curry (yum!).

An Evening of Food Porn
Smitty B 106
8 pm-1 am

Okay, we just have to say it. This event would only happen at Brown. At 8 pm, come by to listen to Megan Andelloux give a talk on “the art of oral sex,” followed by a sampling of hors d’oeuvres and chocolate fondue (to “stimulate the palate,” clearly). Then, at 11-1 am, watch “Like Water for Chocolate” with the Brown Epicurean Society. Sounds steamy.
