Time-waster of the day: September 30, 2011

If you didn’t know – and you probably didn’t, because every one knows Jews are underrepresented at Brown – yesterday was Rosh Hashanah (that’s pronounced roh-sh ha-sha-ná), or the Jewish New Year. But have you ever wondered what happens inside Hillel when that minuscule  fraction of Brown’s student body gathers to exchange ‘shanah tova’s with each other? It is nothing like today’s time-waster, which comes from aish.com. Aish probably means something in Hebrew, but paying attention in Sunday School would have distracted me from other important things, like Mrs. Naboicheck’s six chins. Anyway, it’s the biggest Jewish content site in the world and this parody of LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” teaches us an important lesson – not only are Israel’s soldiers better than ours, but their dancers are better too coughnancygracecough.
