Tonight’s Teach-In on Occupy Wall Street

If you missed tonight’s Teach-In on the Occupy Movement or the accompanying Twitter frenzy — there was a teach-in! It featured professors and community members discussing economic, political, historical, sociological and other contexts for the Occupy Wall Street movement. Salomon 101 was packed, at least for the beginning of the event, though students and community members trickled out over the course of the speeches.

For more Scottish sass, you can hear an 11-minute version of the talk on austerity politics and failing financial institutions that Professor Mark Blyth gave tonight, recorded at an Occupy Boston event over the weekend.

We even made a two-minute news segment on Channel 10, so Mom can be proud! Check out The Herald tomorrow for more coverage of the event and the Occupy College Hill / Occupy Providence movements.
