BlogWeeklyJamz: “Kendrick have a dream”
PBR&B – Unless – On Fire
Dude that car is gonna hit you!!! Oh, I forgot you had the power of love lol.

Jam of the Week Autre Ne Veut – Counting
Jeezum crow, this is a damn good song! It’s Pitchfork-approved but also makes me want to sensually body roll. Awkward when I found out it was a song dedicated to his dead grandma.

Indie  – Shugo Tokumaru – Decorate
This a cool new video from my main man Shugo, but his two masterpieces are still Green Rain, which changes time signatures like a motherfucker, and Rum Hee, which I have played during the walk in-between Governor St and the Bio Med building more than I feel comfortable admitting. それに, it’s funny to try to sing along to the Japanese and fail.

Pop – Reptar – Stuck in My Id
This isn’t “pop” in the Top 40 sense, but these dudes deserve more attention. They are have the weird catchiness of Vampire Weekend and a band name from “Rugrats.” What more do they need to do to make you love them, indie world?!?!

Middle School Pop Punk Banger – Fall Out Boy – Dance, Dance
This video was filmed at  Salesian High School in New Rochelle, NY, which is where I’m from, and there’s a moment when you can totally see the backs of my friends Katie and Jake in the crowd. They’re famous.

Hip-Hop – Kendrick Lamar – Backseat Freestyle
If someone was actually rapping this in my backseat while I was driving I would have an accident.

Cover – Cosmic Kids – Never Going Back (Fleetwood Mac Cover)
I am suspicious of newer bands covering older classics, (a holdover from my obnoxious “I knew Pink Floyd before you” years in middle school), but this song is the musical equivalent of going strawberry picking. La la la la.

Sensitive Singer Songwriter
Sufjan Stevens – That Was the Worst Christmas Ever
It’s December now so I can officially start listening to Sufjan’s christmas CD. Possible gift idea.

MashupThe Hood Internet – Fuck With Mo’ Money
Hood Internet is a mainstay in the popular song + indie song department, but this Ma$e x Diddy x Biggie x Penguin Prison mashup is made for me x party x Dark and Stormy in hand x lame dance moves.

Electronic – Fare Soldi – Frum Frum
Disco-electro music by a duo named Luka Carnifull and Santana Pasta. What could could possibly be wrong.

Throwback – Bloc Party – Banquet
MOST PLAYED SONG ON ITUNES EVER. And I doubt it will ever be superseded.
