Monday, February 10:

Event: Senator Olympia Snowe
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Location: MacMillian Hall 117

For this year’s Noah Krieger ’93 Memorial Lecture, the Taubman Center for Public Policy presents a talk by former Senator Olympia Snowe. She will be delivering a lectured titled “‘Bridging the Divide’ What hyper-partisanship means for 2014… And how we can fix Washington.” The event is free and open to the public!

Event: Free advanced screening of “Endless Love”
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Location: Martinos Auditorium, Granoff Center

Brown University Motion Pictures, Ivy Film Festival, and NBCUniversal are bringing you a free, early screening of “Endless Love.” The movie stars Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde, and will no doubt put you in the mood for Valentine’s Day.

Tuesday February 11:

Event: Sophomore Slump Board Game Night
Time: 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.
Location: Faunce Underground

Come to Board Game Night for a study break, fun games, and free food.

Wednesday February 12: 

Event: U.S. National Security in the Internet Age
Time: 7:00
Location: Smitty B Room 106

The Alexander Hamilton Society is hosting a debate this Wednesday entitled “U.S. National Security in the Internet Age,” featuring Dr. James Carafano of the Heritage Foundation and Professor Timothy Edgar of the Watson Institute. The event is free and open to the  public, and those in attendance will be given the opportunity to ask the participants questions of their own. Refreshments will also be served at the end of the event.

Thursday, February 13: 

Event: CRC Open House: Love What You’re Learning!
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: Campus Center 228 and 229

Come to the CRC to celebrate Valentine’s Day this week. Decorate heart-shaped cookies and learn more about independent studies, independent concentrations, leave-taking, DUGs, fellowships/research, and more.

Event: Sophomore Slump Speed Dating
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Location: Crystal Room (Alumnae Hall)

Head to Alumnae Hall for some Valentine’s Day-themed Speed Dating (and “Friending”) to get you out of that slump.

Event: Auction: A Show by Danny Sobor ’15
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: List Art Building, 1st Floor

Don’t miss the closing reception for “Auction,” the solo collection of Danny Sobor ’15. Sobor will be auctioning off the 20+ original works of art in the show from 8-9:00 p.m. (think about how sick one of these would look in your dorm room), and is even encouraging non-monetary bids.
