Monday, March 10:

Event: Alumni Career Panel with BJWA
Time: 5:30p.m.

Join the Brown Journal of World Affairs in their 20th anniversary celebration! If you’re interested in IR, politics, journalism, law, or econ, check out this panel of accomplished alumni editors from a variety of backgrounds.

Event: Les Miserables in Concert
Time: 8p.m.
Location: Granoff Martinos Auditorium

In a very limited engagement, a group of students partaking in a GISP called “Les Miserables: In Text and Production” will be putting on three concert performances of the iconic musical. Tickets are available for purchase and payment ($5 for students, $7 General Admission) between 7 and 7:45 at the door before each performance. Tuesday, March 11:

Event: Spring Weekend Lineup Release Party
Time: 9p.m.
Location: The Whiskey Republic

Don’t miss the first ever Spring Weekend Lineup Release Party! A night of music from a selection of Brown and RISD’s best student musicians will lead up to the midnight announcement that we’ve all been waiting for. There is no cover charge for the event, though you must have a Brown or RISD ID to enter.

Wednesday, March 12:

Event: The Disney Vault: Unpacking Social Identities in Disney Media
Time: 5-6:30p.m.
Location: Petteruti Lounge, Faunce

The Keeney RPL’s are presenting a workshop on how race, gender, class, and social identities are portrayed in Disney media. Come to the Petteruti Lounge at 4:45p.m. for free food and engage yourself in the workshop beginning at 5p.m!

Event: The History DUG presents: Pirates of the Caribbean
Time: 6:30-9p.m.
Location: Smitty B 201

Come join the History DUG this Wednesday for a free screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Free pizza and a discussion with Professor Douglas Cope will follow.

Event: IFF Presents: Advanced screening of “ENEMY”
Time: 7:30p.m.
Location: MacMillan 117

This Wednesday night, seize the opportunity to catch an advanced screening of ENEMY, the psychological thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal (!!!) and Mélanie Laurent. Adapted from Nobel Prize-winning author José Saramago’s 2004 novel, The Double, ENEMY won’t be released in PVD for a while and is not to be missed.

Thursday, March 13:

Event: Brown Lecture Board presents: Jack Dorsey
Time: 3-4:15p.m.
Location: Salomon DeCiccio Auditorium

This week, Brown Lecture Board is bringing us Jack Dorsey, the enormously successful co-founder and co-creator of Twitter and founder and CEO of Square. Though tickets were distributed last week through a lottery system, those without tickets will be admitted at 2:50p.m. if space allows.

Event: Purim Pregame
Time: 7-9p.m.
Location: Brown RISD Hillel, 80 Brown St.

Come join the Jewish Cooking Club and Brown RISD Hillel’s Social Committee for an evening of baking and eating hamantaschen (traditional jelly-filled cookies) in preparation for Purim!

Event: SPEC Presents: The International SPECtacular
Time: 8-9:30p.m.
Location: Crystal Room, Alumane Hall

For their first event of the spring semester, SPEC is pulling out all of the stops. At this “International SPECtacular,” expect eats and treats from all over the world: vegetable samosas, pad thai, pizza, quesadillas, and much more. As always, the event is free, so take a study break, brace yourself for the crowd, and enjoy the feast.

Friday, March 14:

Event: ARRR! Presents: The Irish Show!
Time: 9p.m.
Location: Wayland Arch

Head to Wayland Arch this Friday night for some Whiskey-drinking-sing-a-long-debauchery provided by ARRR!!!, Brown’s very own Pirate A Capella group.

Saturday, March 15:

Event: Liz and Evan’s Super Secret Upspace Project
Time: 3-7p.m.
Location: The PW Upspace, 7 Young Orchard

This Saturday don’t miss this “super secret” Upsace project shrouded in mystery. Every hour, a show will be put on for only a 15-person crowd. Want to be entered into the ticket lottery? Email evan_silver@brown.edu by Thursday.

Event: Brown Folk Festival Battle of the Student Bands
Time: 7-9p.m.
Location: The Underground

This year The Brown Folk Festival is hosting a Student Band Competition in order to select its talent for the 2014 Folk Fest on April 19th! Come out Saturday night to this free show of feel-good folk tunes.
