By now, you’ve read the first posts of this semester’s Last Call chains here and here. This year, BlogDailyHerald is adding another chain to the mix (or more than 2 chainz, if you will), featuring seniors from the RISD Class of 2015. Presenting RISD Last Call: making art school a little less confidential, one senior at a time.
People might know me as… The girl with curly hair who paints.
In my time at RISD, I am most proud of… The lifelong friendships I’ve made with a handful of incredible people.
On a Friday night, you might find yourself… In the studio painting or just hanging out with friends. Some 90s R&B/Hip Hop usually finds it’s way in there
The best class/professor at RISD is… I’ve had a lot of great teachers, but I’d say I probably gained the most from Craig Taylor’s painting class Junior year.
One thing you wish you had done… Taken more Brown classes!
How has your time at RISD inspired your work? What is your favorite piece you’ve produced while at RISD? Being surrounded by such motivated people has really helped inspire me to work harder to improve myself and to become a better painter. My favorite piece is this painting I made the summer before Senior year:
What are you most excited about senior spring? I’m having my first solo show in NYC in April!
Favorite thing about Providence… Definitely not the snow this winter…
The weirdest item that can be found in my apartment is… This really crazy, wooden, erotic art/sculpture beer opener that my friend and I bought in Greece.
The most ridiculous situation I’ve been in at RISD is… I’m not sure if this applies, but while studying on the European Honors Program I went to a Snoop Dogg concert in Rome… Which is pretty ridiculous.
Who are you tagging next at RISD? Noah Berch! I met Noah on my first day at RISD and he’s been one of my favorites ever since!
Sierra’s question for Noah: You can have dinner with anyone in the world. Who would it be? And why?
