Monday, November 16

Event: Poetry on the Spot
Time: Blue Room
Location: 10:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m.

Sending a Brown Bear Admirers is so October. Instead, pay a member of the Swearer Center’s Writers Group $1 and they’ll put quill to paper and compose a poem for you, your admired, or anyone you’d like. All proceeds go towards the Swearer Center’s Community Partnership, offering adults with developmental disabilities creative writing workshops.

Tuesday, November 17

Event: SCAC Lecture Series: Juliana Huxtable
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Granoff Auditorium

The Student Creative Arts Council will host poet/artists/model/DJ, Juliana Huxtable, as part of their lecture series. Free tickets can be reserved here.

Event: DOPE Screening
Time:  7:00 p.m.
Location: Salomon 202

American Studies’ & Ethnic Studies’ DUGs will host a free screening of DOPE, complete with snacks, beverages, and answers to any relevant concentration questions.

Event: Live Cypher
Time: 8:00 – 10:00 p.m.
Location: Upspace #2

Cyphers at Brown deserve all the attention they’ve gotten, and more. “We’ll have a live house band set up with a barrage of grooves + beats for emcees to come freestyle over – all emcees, vocalists, and musicians welcome!”

Thursday, November 19

Event: New Politics
Time: Doors @ 7:00 p.m. | Show @ 8:00 p.m.
Location: Lupos

Join New Politics on their “Wilderness Tour.” They will be playing Lupos, supported by the Griswolds and LOLO.

Friday, November 20

Event: Brown Storytellers STORYSLAM
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: List 120

Hear seven student storytellers from all grades share some true stories. Can’t go on Friday? The Storytellers will perform the same stories on Saturday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. in Salomon 001.

Event: Fall Speakeasy

Time: 9:00 p.m.
Location: Pembroke Field House

Butter, Young Hummus, Plein Air, and Waka Flocka Flame. Only one of these artists won’t be playing at BCA’s Fall Speakeasy.

Sunday, November 22

Event: Vintage Market
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: 75 Waterman St, Providence, RI

Fashion@Brown invites you to their vintage market, complete with one-of-a-kind clothes, accessories, vinyl, and household decorations. Don’t miss the 16+ vendors that will be at this event! F@B will also be hosting a discount night at Madewell this Thursday.
