Polls project a neck and neck race between Israel’s two major parties in the upcoming Knesset elections. The outcome will have a major effect on U.S.-Israeli relations and the peace process in general. Join Brown Students for Israel to discuss the possible results.

Senior Week schedule released

Class Coordinating Board 2015 has released the details on this year’s Senior Week. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, take a look at all the fun that awaits you in the oh-so-distant future. Seniors, feast your eyes on the schedule for the last week of your Brown careers, and contemplate your impending mortality:

Friday, May 15

Commencement Kickoff: Pick up your cap and gown and the bracelets you need for all future Senior Week events.

Movie Night: Toy Story 3 + beer garden + snacks = pure happiness.

Saturday, May 16

Unit Wars: Will “Best Unit” Champlin knock off freshman year champs Wayland? Only one way to find out.

Time Capsule Reception: I’m not sure which is more terrifying: that our 25th reunion is in 2040, or the prospect of how much weird stuff is going to be in this time capsule.

Last Chance Disorientation Dance: Turns out CCB likes to facilitate Senior Scramble moves. Per the site’s description of the dance:

Through an anonymous online matching system, submit up to 7 seniors with whom you have always wanted a “last chance.” Then, on the night of the dance, receive an email notification of any matches (if you put someone who has also put you).

Yay for Brown ’15 Tinder! Oh, and it’s neon-themed.

A Cool Thing You Shouldn’t Miss: Mr. and Mrs. Brown Pageant

Looking for something fun to do on the Spring Week hump day? Check out the Class Coordinating Board’s Mr. and Ms. Brown Pageant! The event will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in Sayles Hall.

The twelve dazzling contestants are all members of the senior class and will go head-to-head to compete for the “Mr. and Mrs. Brown” titles. Trust us: these guys mean business! After all, they’ve already fought off nearly 100 other nominees to get to the Sayles stage. The nominees have a wide array of talents—expect some dancing, singing, poetry-reading, and a large amount of senior shenanigans.

If you don’t go for the talent, go for the judges. The pageant will be judged by campus favorites Barrett Hazeltine, Fiery Cushman, and Barbara Tannenbaum, alongside Senior Class Presidents Brandon Tomasso ’13 and Kelsey Tripp ’13, and Cara Lemire ’13, who currently holds the title of Miss Eastern Massachusetts. Audience votes will also be factored into judging so bring your friends to support some talented and courageous Brown students! In all seriousness, this will be absolutely hilarious. Don’t miss it.
