Hours before you enjoyed a glass of mulled wine, watched a bunch of men toss around the pigskin, and sat down for dinner, juniors studying abroad this semester had the unique opportunity to engage in the Turkey Day festivities in different countries (and time zones) around the world. These students have more than their respective study abroad experiences to be thankful for—Thanksgiving proved to be a reminder of these students’ national pride as they were able to take this slice of Americana with them and blow it up in big and creative ways. Check out how your peers celebrated Thanksgiving abroad after the jump.
Ratty Vs. V-Dub, 4/25
Ratty: Turkey and Wild Rice Soup, Chicken Cutlet Parmesan, Vegetarian Sandwich Bar, Swiss Fudge Cookies
V-Dub: Minestrone Soup, Steak and Pepper Fajitas, Black Bean and Spinach Tacos, Refried Beans, Swiss Fudge Cookies
Advantage: V-Dub. Why would we need a vegetarian sandwich bar when sandwiches are customizable anyway?
Ratty: Carrot Ginger Soup with Agave, Lemon Sesame Chicken, Spinach with Toasted Sesame Seeds, Magic Bar
V-Dub: Bean Chili, Mac And Cheese Bar, Corn Pudding, Braised Rainbow Swiss Chard, Florida Key Lime Pie
Advantage: V-Dub. Cheesy as it may sound, there's really no food quite as comforting as mac and cheese.
