More reason for vegans at Brown to rejoice
: according to BDS Dietitian Gina Guiducci, “soy milk has returned.”
A change in a supplier’s practices rendered soy milk MIA for about a month as Dining Services scrambled to find a replacement. The replacement has now been found, and Guiducci wrote BlogDailyHeald to say that the new soy milk is even “local and organic.”
What we will be - if you vote!
Brown veganites rejoice! PETA has named Brown one of the Nation’s Most Vegan-Friendly Colleges. Frankly, with the vegan ice cream truck on Thayer and vegan chicken fingers at the V-Dub every Friday (which are just as good as their poultry counterparts), we are not surprised.
However, only your vote can ensure that Brown will earn PETA2’s title of Most Vegan-Friendly College! Visit this website and click on the tab “Small U.S. Schools.” Then look for Brown’s logo on the left hand side and vote! Brown Dining Services will keep us posted on the results. Til then, continue enjoying your vegan delights!
Vegan ice cream truck chilling between Faunce and JWW
If you’re enjoying this sunny afternoon, but wish there were a little more dessert in it, you’re in luck. Like No Udder, a local vegan food truck specializing in soft serve, is spending this afternoon on the corner of Waterman St. and Brown St. (between Faunce and J. Walter Wilson.)
For the purposes of journalistic investigation, we tried the chocolate/vanilla swirl kind in a cone and can say we highly recommend it.
