The Men’s Basketball Team seemingly has two sides, considering the Men’s Team defeated the Ivy League’s first place team, Princeton, but dropped a game against the UPenn, 4-4 in Ivy play, a day earlier. The large student turnout expected will hopefully give Brown the spark it has needed.   Continue Reading

Weekly Sports Roundup: Vol. II

Game of the Week
The Men’s Ice Hockey team plays host to a pair of tough conference opponents in #13 Union College and #16 RPI. After two big games against ranked teams (#6 New Hampshire and #2 Boston University, both ending in ties: 5-5 (OT) and 4-4 (OT), respectively), the team has started to gain recognition in the national polls. The team must carry their recent success into this weekend, a weekend that could greatly improve their standing in the ECAC. The team’s first win on home ice would surely be a great segue into the Mayor’s Cup against Providence College on December 7th, and considering the high-power offense of the last few games (averaging 4.00 goals per game in their last three games) the team is poised for a big victory.
