Free Food Digest: February 17, 2011

Eat free or dine trying.

Thursday Night Torah
7:15-8:15 pm

Green beans and mac ‘n cheese will be served!  Don’t miss this weekly event which promises kosher food and lots of discussion.

French Conversation Hour
French House
4:30-5:30 pm

Nutella brownies! Crepes! Madeleines! Here’s the catch: can you (pretend to) speak French?

MAPS Study Abroad/Study Away/Time Off Panel
Smitty B 106
8 pm

This event appears to be one of the best, no-strings-attached free food events we’ve ever advertised. It sounds like you can just show up, get some Kabob, and eat while you listen to a few students talk about their study abroad/time off experiences–really not that pain or awkwardness endured for a free meal.

Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Event
Barus and Holley lobby
12:00 pm

This one sounds like it requires a little bit more work, but you’ll walk away with free ice cream that you made yourself!

Brown Bag Series in Archaeology
RI Hall, Room 108
12:00 pm

Free pizza and soda will be provided.

Archaeology DUG Meet ‘n Greet
RI Hall, Room 109
6:30 pm

Gotta love those Archaeology concentrators. This event sounds much more informal (easier to slip into?) than the Brown Bag Lunch, and the Arch DUG is promising free meeting street cookies!
