This Sunday, September 11, will mark the ten-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The class of 2015, just initiated into the Brown community this week at opening convocation, was only in third grade when the attacks took place. In a few years, most undergraduates at Brown will have no personal memories of 9/11, its immediate aftermath, or the news coverage surrounding the attacks. We represent the generation of undergraduates for whom an act of terrorism on U.S. soil still seems like a reality, rather than a mere artifact of history.
We’d like to invite members of the Brown community to use this space to post comments, memories and condolences relating to the attacks.
Monday’s Brown Daily Herald will be offering in-depth coverage of the tenth anniversary of September 11.
