Cheer your hearts out: Sporting events 9/30 – 10/2

The Bears will look to win the Governor's Cup Saturday under the lights at Brown Stadium.

We know. We know that most students don’t go to sporting events at Brown. We know it’s one of the top things on the list of Stuff Brown students dislike. But this weekend is the second-ever football game “under the lights” at Brown Stadium. So seriously — cheer. A lot.

Friday, September 30

W. Volleyball takes on Columbia at 7 pm.

Saturday, October 1

W. Volleyball continues its Ivy schedule, competing against Cornell at 4 pm.

Football butts heads with the Rams of URI at Brown stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 pm.

Sunday, October 2

There are no sporting events scheduled. Probably because the Athletics Department knows everyone will be recuperating from that football game.

Remember, just because you can’t see the following games doesn’t mean you shouldn’t believe in your fellow classmates:

The XC squads are competing in the Paul Short Invitational.

Field hockey travels to Cambridge to take on Harvard. The team is looking for its first Ivy win.

M. Soccer opens conference play at Columbia. W. Soccer is also playing Columbia, and will take the field right after the men’s game.
