Help the Brown Democrats conduct a phone bank one last time as we approach the November 4th elections.

Tuesday, November 4:

Event: Brown/RISD Stand Up Comics Present: Choose Your Starter
Time: 8:00 \p.m.
Location: The Underground

Five funny students will provide you with jokes and general levity tomorrow night for free. Don’t miss it!

Wednesday, November 5:

Event: Interracial Dating Panel
Time: 7:00 – 8.30 \p.m.
Location: Salomon 001

Who do you want, hook up with, date, and how does race and play into that? Six Brown students will share their opinions and take questions from the audience.

Event: Systems for Reporting Sexual Assault at Brown
Time: 7:30 – 9:30p.m.
Location: Metcalf Auditorium

The first hour of this event will be a teach-in with Brown administrators on how sexual assault cases are currently handled. The next hour will be an open forum with the Sexual Assault Task Force, allowing students the opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback and air grievances. All Brown community members are welcome to the teach-in, though the open forum is specifically for undergraduates.

Friday, November 7:

Event: America, Israel, and the Challenges of a New Era with Ari Shavit
Time: 7:00p.m.
Location: Wilson 102

Ari Shavit, columnist for the Israelian newspaper Hareetz, and author of the New York Times bestseller My Promised Land, will speak about the future of American diplomacy with regards to Israel.

Event: Oktoberfest!!! 2014
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Sayles

Jealous of your many friends abroad and their millions dozens of Instagrams of the legendary beer festival that is just so European? Well, the Brown German Club has got you covered. Tickets will be sold this Tuesday – Friday in the Blue Room for our very own German festival (unclear if beer is provided?).

Event: Musical Forum Presents: Cabaret
Time: 8:00p.m. (Also Sunday and Monday, and Saturday at 6:00 and 10:00 p.m.)
Location: PW Downspace

My knowledge of the cabaret is limited to Moulin Rouge; if you’re like me, you should probably head to down to the Downspace (ha!) this weekend and see how it’s really done. The show is directed by Jenn Maley’16, and tickets will become available Wednesday night at midnight.

Event: IFF 48 Hour Film Competition
Time: 8:00 p.m. – Sunday, November 9 at 8 p.m.

Teams must write, produce, film, and edit their own short films during this 48 hour period to compete to win $200 and a spot in the Ivy Film Festival Programming Lineup. More information is available at ivyfilmfestival.com

Saturday, November 8:

Event: V for Variety Show
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: List 120

MEDLIFE is hosting this variety show, which will include performances from a capella, music and dance groups. There is a $3 entry fee, and all proceeds will go towards a community development project in Peru!

Event: Senior Prom
Time: 10:00p.m. – 2:00a.m.
Location: Alumnae Hall

The Class Board of 2015 invites you to celebrate your youth by attending the 90’s-themed Senior Prom this weekend. Promises of Spice Girls and TLC have been made. Expect two full cash bars and a photobooth (!!) all for the low low price of freeeee.
