Monday, February 2:

Event: World Hijab Day@Brown!
Location: Blue Room
Time: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Join the Brown Muslim Students’ Association in the Blue Room to try on a hijab and stick around until 7 p.m. for hot chocolate and cookies. A discussion will also take place in the Brown Muslim Students Center in the basement of Champlin.

Event: Police Profiling: Causes and Consequences
Location: BERT 130
Time: 5 p.m.

The Taubman Center for Public Policy and the Watson Institute for International Studies is presenting a panel of police policy experts will discuss a variety of topics, including racial profiling and the expansion of mass incarceration.

Wednesday, February 4:

Event: Obama’s Cuba Policy: The Top Secret History Behind the Historic Breakthrough U.S. – Cuban Relations
Location: Joukowsky Forum
Time: 12 p.m.

CLACS will be hosting a lunch and lecture by Peter Kornbluh on the backdoor negotiations that have taken place in the rocky history of U.S.- Cuban Relations.

Thursday, February 5:

Event: Screening: Fresh Off the Boat Premiere
Location: Petteruti Lounge
Time: 8 p.m.

The Asian American Students Association is hosting a premiere of Fresh Off the Boat, a new ABC sitcom based on Eddie Huang’s upbringing in a family of Taiwanese immigrants.

Event: The Two-Legged Print Show and Sale
Location: ISB Gallery @ 55 Canal Walk
Time: 6 p.m.

RISD students are exhibiting and selling the t-shirts they created during the Two-Legged Print Wintersession course.

Friday, February 6:

Event: Dancing with the Profs
Location: Alumnae Auditorium
Time: 7 p.m.

After a semester of practicing with the Brown Ballroom Dance Team, seven professors will show off their moves with student partners and compete for student votes. Tickets are on sale Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in JWW from 11:30-1:30 and in the Blue Room from 4:30-6pm for $5. Tickets will go for $7 at the door.

Event: Ice Skating

Location: Bank of America Skating Center

Time: 2 p.m.
