#thatawkwardmoment when Kim says, “I love you” to Kris Humphries and Kris Jenner responds, “I love you too!” #ambiguities
We knew it would never last. News broke yesterday that Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from husband Kris Humphries 72 days after the two were married. The ceremony took place on August 20th of this year, cost $10 million dollars and, like all things Kardashian, it was featured as an E! Special. The fact that Kim’s mom’s name is also Kris sure must have made things confusing; just imagine the scene in which the Kardashian Klan is sitting around the dinner table and Khloe asks Kris to pass her the peas. Hmmm, ambiguous and awkward.
Clearly, a 72-day marriage is a very brief one. The hashtag “#ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage” has been trending on Twitter since the news broke yesterday. At BlogDailyHerald, we understand that 72 days seems like a nominal indicator here at Brown—days blend together, days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months and, before we know it, the semester is more than halfway over (sorry to scare y’all, just speaking the gospel truth). To help you get a sense of the length of Kim and Kris’ marriage, we’re defining #ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage in terms of time at Brown to give you:
#ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage: Brown Edition
- #ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage: The line to get into Whisco this past Sunday night.

At long last, the day that you’ve all been waiting for has arrived. It’s time to White Out For Diddy. Give Diddy a warm welcome today by emulating the guests at his Hamptons-based white parties and wearing all white clothing at today’s concert. You get extra points for wearing a hat like this. Subtract points for wearing any off-white colors, including azure, seashell, snow, wheat, and beige. Go big or go home, Brown. See you in Meehan at 5:30.
Diddy wears many hats—that of a rapper, a singer, a record producer, an actor, and a men’s fashion designer, to name just a few. It seems, however, that he must add a new one to his collection: the crown of a Twitter King. He tweets at least a dozen times a day, with tweets that range from serious to silly to absolutely absurd. He was even honored as the number six top Tweeter in Rolling Stone Magazine’s “50 Top Tweeters in Music.” Check out some highlights from his Twitter past, after the jump!
Roll out the white carpet, ’cause Diddy’s coming to town. For those of you not hip enough to understand, we’re referencing Diddy’s famed White Party–a classy, Hamptons-based affair where celebrities get together and see who looks best in white. Diddy hasn’t thrown an official White Party in a couple years, but that shouldn’t stop the Brown student body from getting decked out in the rapper-producer-entrepreneur’s (lack of) color of choice.
Your charge is simple: wear all white clothing to the Spring Weekend Concert on Saturday, April 16th, thereby magically transforming a mere musical event into a White Party extravaganza.
It’s been about three days since the leak of the UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING NEWS that Diddy will be gracing us with his presence for Spring Weekend 2011 (#winning) and we’re still beyond pumped. On Monday, he took to BET’s 106 & Park to announce his upcoming “Coming Home Tour” which noticeably does not include any college dates, but we here at BlogDH are hearing that we might be the only school he’s playing (which makes it extra awesome). On a related @iamdiddy note, he also tweeted the following at Charlie Sheen:
